Salmon Days & Family Farms
We welcomed the month of October with a bang! We headed south on Saturday for the Issaquah Salmon Days Festival in beautiful Issaquah. We followed that up with the Festival of Family Farms in Skagit County on Sunday. Both days offered some of the best reasons of why we love the Seattle area.
September in Review
September 2010 has come and gone. Up here in Seattle it was a beautiful month to be outdoors and enjoying the natural resources that this area has to offer. Its’ claimed this was the coolest September on record since Eisenhower was in office (or something like that), but we wouldn’t know since we’ve been here only a year. We took advantage of the weather and did a few hikes in the area
Fun with Glow Sticks
Ethan has officially been introduced to glow sticks! I found a stock pile of them last weekend in my workshop. They were saved from when I was a wildland firefighter and I carried a handful in my line gear for night operations. But those days have passed and they’ve collected dust for the last 7 years. This evening I decided to pull my pile of glow sticks to show Ethan the joy they can bring. Game on.
